In some of the most severe cases, an injury to the neck can result in paralysis or severe mobility problems. Such injuries can make it necessary for the sufferer to have full time care. There can be long lasting problems such as little neck movement and severe headaches.

Even less serious neck injuries may require surgery and result in pain, discomfort and stiffness. This can have an effect upon the sufferer’s ability to work and take part in a social life.

Whiplash is a very common neck injury that is normally a result of a car accident. It can cause dizziness and pain.
