A motorcyclist has died following a crash on a rural road on the A85 between Loch Awe and Taynuilt.

The crash occurred just before midday and came off his bike as a result of the incident. The road was shut for six hours as a result of the crash.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A 34-year-old man has died in a road traffic accident on the A85 in Argyll.

"He appears to have come off the road on his motorbike.”

It is unknown if the incident occurred as a result of speeding

Vulnerable Road Users

Cyclists and motorbikes are more vulnerable road users and can be at more risk of serious accidents as a result of their vehicles. Motorcyclists can also suffer more serious injuries due to a lack of protection. Speeding, high winds, poor road conditions or surfaces and other issues can directly contribute to accidents and serious injury.

As a result of a motorcycle accident, you are likely to suffer severe injuries such as a head knock, severe lacerations, loss of limbs, fractures and broken bones. Whilst you may not wish to make a claim for compensation if you have been injured in an accident that is not your fault you have the right to hold those responsible to account.

It can be difficult to prove that you are not at fault when you are involved in a road traffic accident, especially if you are a more vulnerable road user. However, if you are involved in an accident that is not your fault our team of solicitors will be able to inform you of everything you need to provide us with in order to make a successful claim.
